The Matrx Scavenge Control Valve connects to the vacuum hose and allows for visual monitoring of vacuum flow. NIOSH guidelines suggest 45 lpm of vacuum for safe scavenging. Featuring an easy to read dial gauge with adjustment knob is simple to operate – yet critical for ensuring scavenging safety and efficiency.
Vacuum rates that are set too high will pull N2O away from the patient faster than they can breathe it in. Vacuum rates that are set too low may result in excess N2O exposure for both the Dr. and staff.
